Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has been voted English Premier League Player of the Week for Matchday 26 following a standout display in midweek action.
Semenyo delivered a Man of the Match performance as Manchester City cruised to a 3–0 victory over Fulham at the Etihad Stadium.
The forward opened the scoring by pouncing on loose defending to finish from close range, before turning provider minutes later with an assist for Nico O’Reilly.
Erling Haaland sealed the win with City’s third goal.
The 26-year-old, who joined the Premier League champions in January, becomes the third City player to claim the weekly honour this season, following Haaland on Matchday 6 and Jeremy Doku on Matchday 11.
Semenyo topped the fan vote with 39 per cent, edging out Virgil van Dijk, who polled 32 per cent. Also shortlisted were Lukas Nmecha of Leeds United,
José Sá of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Malick Thiaw of Newcastle United, and Jaidon Anthony of Burnley.
Semenyo will look to maintain his fine form when Manchester City host Newcastle United on Saturday, February 21.
