The Amasaman High Court has set February 5, 2026, for the ruling in the appeal case involving former fetish priestess turned evangelist, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, widely known as Nana Agradaa.

Agradaa is seeking to overturn her conviction and the 15-year custodial sentence handed down on July 3, 2025, after she was found guilty of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretence.

In her appeal, she argues that the original trial was improperly conducted and that the prosecution failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt. She also contends that the sentence imposed was excessive.

Speaking to journalists after proceedings on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, her lawyer, Richard Asare Baffour, said the adjournment was due to the Attorney-General’s Office not meeting earlier directions issued by the court.

He cited technical issues related to electronic exhibits required for the appeal as contributing to the delay.

Mr. Baffour further noted that the defence resisted a request from the Attorney-General’s Office for additional time to file its written arguments.

Following submissions from both sides, the court adjourned the case to February 5 for its ruling, while allowing the prosecution the opportunity to submit written addresses if deemed necessary.

“The court has adjourned the case to February 5, 2026, for judgment. By then, the Office of the Attorney-General will have the chance to file its written addresses, if it chooses to do so,” Mr. Baffour said.
