The Chief of Akwatia, Osabarima Kofi Boateng III, has appealed to political parties and residents to remain peaceful and united ahead of the upcoming by-election in the constituency.

Dismissing rumors of possible violence, he assured the public that Akwatia will remain calm.

“I know my town. I assure everyone that there will be no violence in Akwatia,” he stated.

The Chief cautioned against the spread of false information, urging residents to focus their energies on development rather than conflict.

“We should fight to bring development, not to fight ourselves,” he stressed.

Highlighting the town’s challenges, Osabarima Kofi Boateng III called on the government to address their pressing needs and involve the people of Akwatia in shaping development priorities.

“If the government wants to know the kind of development Akwatia needs, they should come and ask us. We are ready to show them,” he said.
