Adom TV celebrates the spirit of Northern Ghana with new show “Raayuwa”

-

Adom TV has unveiled its latest lifestyle show, Raayuwa, meaning “life” or “living,” to celebrate the vibrant Northern and Upper Ghanaian culture, life, and identity.

The show premiered on Sunday, October 12, 2025, captivating audiences with its authentic storytelling and cultural depth.

Hosted by Faiza Mohammed, Raayuwa offers viewers a rich blend of tradition, conversation, and lifestyle, highlighting the people and practices that shape Northern Ghana.

The debut episode featured insightful discussions with Kamil Abubakari, National Project Coordinator for the ILO Ghana Office, and Hajia M.K. Abubakar, Magajia Wangarawa of the Greater Accra Region, who reflected on how tradition continues to influence modern life.

According to George Benjamin Appiah, Channel Coordinator for Adom TV, Raayuwa was created to fill a cultural gap in Ghana’s media landscape by spotlighting “people, not stereotypes,” and showcasing how indigenous values connect with contemporary Ghanaian life.

The premiere also featured a segment on Northern wedding traditions and a culinary showcase of Tubaani, a beloved local delicacy prepared by Zongo Cuisine.

Raayuwa airs every Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Adom TV, with Fareeda Saeed presenting Raayuwa Trending, a segment that recaps the week’s most engaging cultural moments.

Raayuwa promises to be more than just a show; it’s a heartfelt journey into Ghana’s cultural soul, celebrating our stories, our pride, and our shared identity.
