Acting National Service Authority CEO, Felix Gyamfi, moved to Finance Ministry

The Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), Felix Gyamfi, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Finance with immediate effect.

Mr. Gyamfi’s transfer comes barely seven months after his appointment in January 2025 and has sparked debate within public service circles over the abrupt nature of the decision.

Although the Presidency has not given an official explanation, sources at the Jubilee House suggest the move is part of a broader reshuffle aimed at strengthening the administration’s economic management team.

Meanwhile, media reports indicate that delays in the posting of new national service personnel also weighed heavily in the decision-making process. An audit of the Authority’s online deployment system reportedly highlighted inefficiencies.

In addition, reports point to a policy disagreement between Mr. Gyamfi and his supervising minister, George Opare Addo.

While the Youth Development Minister is said to have pushed for a new deployment portal to close systemic loopholes, Mr. Gyamfi is believed to have argued that the existing system only required improvements rather than being scrapped entirely.
