The Mayor of Accra, Michael Kpakpo Allotey, has praised the quality of meals served to pupils under the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) in the metropolis.
During an unannounced visit to the Aayalolo Cluster of Schools, John Wesley Methodist, and Accra Sempe Primary Schools, the Mayor personally assessed food preparation, portion sizes, and overall hygiene. He described the meals as “nice and delicious,” noting that if he could eat them himself, they were suitable for the children.

At the Aayalolo Cluster of Schools, Mr Allotey also engaged with teachers, who raised challenges such as the need for washroom facilities and a secure school gate.

He assured them that the Assembly would provide support to address these issues.

The visit highlights the Accra Metropolitan Assembly’s commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of schoolchildren through consistent monitoring of the School Feeding Programme.
