The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, has revealed that a new head coach for the Ghana national football team will be appointed within the next two weeks.
The senior national team is currently without a coach following the dismissal of Otto Addo after consecutive defeats to Austria and Germany during the March international window.
In an interview with 3Sports, Okraku stressed that the association is working swiftly to fill the vacancy as preparations intensify ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“We will have a new coach in a week or two,” he said.
Several high-profile names have already been linked to the role, including former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah, who is currently in charge of Sudan national football team, as well as Walid Regragui, Hervé Renard, Marc Brys and Tom Saintfiet.
The Black Stars are scheduled to regroup in May for international friendlies against Mexico on May 22 and Wales on June 2 as part of their build-up to the tournament.
Ghana will be making their fifth appearance at the World Cup and have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama, as they aim to reach the knockout stage for the first time since 2010.
