Several wooden structures have been destroyed following a fire outbreak at Ashaiman Tulaku.
The incident occurred at about 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday, with flames rapidly spreading through the structures before emergency responders arrived.
The Ghana National Fire Service responded swiftly, with the first crew from the Ashaiman Fire Station arriving at approximately 5:27 p.m. to find the fire already at an advanced stage.

Reinforcements were quickly dispatched, with four fire tenders from the Tema Region deployed to the scene. A water tanker from the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly also supported the firefighting efforts.

Through coordinated operations, firefighters managed to contain the blaze by 6:00 p.m., preventing it from spreading to adjoining structures and averting further destruction.

Firefighters remain at the scene carrying out damping down operations to prevent any possible re-ignition, while police officers are assisting with crowd control and traffic management.
The extent of damage is yet to be fully assessed, and authorities have not reported any casualties so far. Investigations are expected to determine the cause of the fire.
