Patrons, lovers, and fans of Africa’s music icon, the Maestro Kojo Antwi, who are both at home and abroad, are expected to receive their fair share of the Maestro’s magic moments in the 2026 Easter festivities.
It will be an event to perform on his home soil, Kwahu, as his own received him tenderly.
Easter celebrations in Kwahu are known for their massive attendance as people from all walks of life troop to various Kwahu towns to celebrate.
First, on Easter Saturday, April 4, 2026, the Maestro will entertain fans at the Freedom Hills Dome at Kwahu Nkwatia, and the Maestro is asking fans to share ahead their favourite songs to be played on the day. This is to enable the Maestro to prepare in order to give his maximum best on the day.
This event is expected to feature other musicians such as Kofi Nti, Amakye Dede, and Daasebreba, but of course, the Maestro, Kojo Antwi, is the lead.
The Maestro, in a social media post, said, “Join me at the Freedom Hills Dome for a beautiful night of timeless melodious love and celebration. Drop your top 3 Kojo Antwi songs you want on the night.”
One would say such a performance on Saturday will make him exhausted, but certainly not. The next day, Sunday, April 5, 2026, the Maestro is performing at Orange Jardin Hotel at exactly 7 pm. The venue is expected to be joined by Derek Simpey, Ofori Amponsa, and Oheneba Kissi.
On his social media post, the music man said, “Meet me at the Orange Jardin Hotel for the Kwahu Diaspora Easter Homecoming. A night of music and love on stage with Ofori Amponsa, Oheneba Kissi, and Derek Simpey.”
The event forms part of the Kwahu Diaspora Easter 2026 Homecoming to showcase Kwahu’s rich culture and tradition.
The Maestro’s musical tour then moves to New York in the United States of America on Saturday, April 11, 2026, with another splendid performance.
The Kwahuman Association of New York, in collaboration with the Kojo Antwi Foundation, is celebrating this icon of the continent.
Dubbed “Celebrating the Music Man, Kojo Antwi,” the night is expected to bring together Kwahu indigenes in the diaspora, non-Kwahu Ghanaians, and other foreign nationals.
The Adeapena man, in a post, said, “New York, the wait is over! Grab your ticket and join me this 11th of April, 2026, at the Co-Op City Dreiser Community Centre and let’s have a musical night of pure Ghanaian music from our hearts.”
Apart from these huge and numerous musical achievements of the Maestro, he recently added to the list by launching the only book or memoir authored by him on the continent.
“Mr. Music Man: The Journey” talks about the Maestro’s music, life, and legacy for generations yet unborn.
