Parts of the Greater Accra Region are currently grappling with power outages following a severe rainstorm that struck the city in the early hours.
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has confirmed that the outages were caused by faults arising from the storm’s impact on the electricity infrastructure.
In an official statement, ECG reassured customers that its engineers are working round the clock to restore supply.
“Our teams are deploying all available resources to address the faults and bring back electricity as quickly as possible,” the company stated.
Affected customers have been advised to report outages via ECG’s Contact Centre on 0302611611, at their nearest ECG office, or through the company’s social media handles, @ECGghOfficial.
The utility company acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the disruptions and appealed to the public for patience.
“We regret the inconvenience caused by this rainstorm and remain committed to restoring electricity safely and efficiently,” ECG added.
