The Bono Regional Director of Research and Elections for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Osei, popularly known as Karikari, has announced his intention to contest for the position of Regional Treasurer.
In a statement released to party faithful, Henry said his decision follows extensive consultations with key stakeholders and grassroots members of the party across the Bono Region.
According to him, his experience as Regional Director of Research and Elections has given him a deeper understanding of the needs of grassroots members and the expectations of key stakeholders who form the backbone of the party.
Mr. Osei pledged to bring transparency, prudent financial management, innovation, and collaboration to the position if elected. He emphasized that these qualities would help strengthen the party’s financial management and ensure that the NPP is well-resourced to mount an effective campaign ahead of the 2028 general elections.
He also called on regional executives, constituency officers, the council of elders, and party faithful to support his bid as the party works together to build a stronger and more united NPP in the Bono Region.
Mr. Osei further indicated that he is ready to serve the party with humility and integrity to help the party reclaim the Parliamentary seats they lost to the NDC in the last election and place the party in the best position in the Boni region.
The Bono Regional Executive Elections is slated for August 8 and 9 , 2026. Henry sees his indepth experience and active service in the party place him as the best choice for the party’s treasure slot.
