The Nsuta Manhene, Nana Asamoah Gyamfi Sekyere, has praised the government for ongoing road projects while urging authorities to address critical infrastructure challenges in his area.
Speaking during a visit by Johnson Asiedu Nketia as part of his thank-you tour, the chief commended the work on the Nsuta–Kwamang road since the return of President John Dramani Mahama to office.
He noted that the project has brought much-needed relief to residents and expressed gratitude for the government’s efforts so far.
However, Nana Sekyere reminded the government of its campaign promise to fix other roads in the constituency, particularly the Birim road, which he described as vital for transporting goods.
According to him, the road becomes difficult to use during the rainy season, affecting movement and economic activities.
He appealed for urgent intervention, expressing confidence that the government will respond to the concerns, describing it as a listening administration.
“If for nothing else, since Mahama resumed office, the Nsuta–Kwamang road is under construction, and they are working on it, so we are grateful. Since the NDC resumed office, things have been running smoothly in the country as well. However, we have our concerns from the campaign. They promised to make roads in our constituency, so we are reminding them to do it soon. The Birim road is where our goods come from, and when it rains, transportation is difficult. We are pleading that this issue be solved. We know the NDC is a listening government, so we hope our concerns will be heard,” he said.
