The Chief Imam of Juaboso, Alhaji Muhammad Iddiru, has called on government, philanthropists and other well-meaning individuals to support Muslim youth with employment opportunities and educational scholarships.
According to him, many young Muslims in the area are struggling to secure jobs and further their education, a situation he said is affecting their future and the development of their communities.
Alhaji Muhammad Iddiru made the appeal during this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr celebration held in Juaboso, where Muslims gathered to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan with prayers, thanksgiving and messages of peace and unity.
Speaking to the media after the prayers, the Chief Imam stressed the need for deliberate efforts to empower the youth through education and skills development. He noted that such interventions would help reduce poverty, unemployment and social vices among young people.
Meanwhile, the Juaboso District Chief Executive, Alexander Adu Quist, joined the Muslim community to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr and expressed the government’s commitment to improving conditions in the area.
He assured residents of continued development efforts to support Muslim communities in the district.
