The Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs has extended warm Eid al-Fitr greetings to Muslims across Ghana and around the world, urging them to uphold the values of unity, tolerance and national cohesion.
In a goodwill message to mark the celebration, the Minister, Ahmed Ibrahim, described Eid al-Fitr as a sacred occasion that signifies the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
He noted that the celebration serves as a period for reflection, spiritual renewal and a reaffirmation of commitment to values such as compassion, justice and social responsibility.
According to him, Eid al-Fitr also presents an opportunity for Muslims to strengthen the bonds of unity, harmony and mutual respect that are essential for national development.
“It is an occasion to promote understanding, peace and solidarity within our communities, and to reflect on our shared responsibilities towards building a prosperous and inclusive nation,” he stated.
The Minister further urged Muslims to celebrate the festival responsibly, embrace tolerance and contribute meaningfully to the well-being of their families, communities and the country at large.
On behalf of the Ministry, he prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the nation, asking for peace, harmony and continued progress.
He also wished Muslims a blessed, joyous and memorable Eid al-Fitr celebration.
