The Ghana Police Service has arrested 15 suspects in a special anti-drug operation conducted in Tamale and Savelugu.
The operation, code-named Red Maria, was carried out by the Northern Regional Special Operations Team as part of efforts to clamp down on drug-related activities in the area.
The exercise was led by Superintendent John Danso and ACP Rashid Jeremiah, with a team of about 35 police personnel.
During the operation, nine suspects were arrested at Choggu, while six others were picked up in Savelugu.
All 15 suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations as authorities work to identify and apprehend other individuals involved in the illegal drug trade.
