The Ghana Football Association has set an ambitious target for the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, aiming to reach the final of the global tournament.

Four-time African champions Ghana will be making their fifth appearance at the Mundial, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Drawn in Group L, the Black Stars will face Panama, England, and Croatia in the opening phase of the competition.

Speaking to 3Sports, GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum highlighted the association’s lofty ambitions:

“It’s our dream to make it all the way to the final. We want to qualify from the group, progress to the quarterfinals, move on to the semis, and then reach the final.”

Ghana will open their campaign against Panama on June 17, before taking on England on June 23, and concluding their group stage fixtures against Croatia on June 27.

As part of their build-up, Otto Addo’s side will play two high-profile friendlies, facing Austria in Vienna on March 27, and Germany in Stuttgart on March 30.
