Dela Edem, a member of John Dramani Mahama’s communication team, has described criticisms surrounding the presidential jet debate as hypocritical.

Speaking on Dwaso Nsem on Adom FM, Edem argued that it is unfair for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to criticise the issue after what he described as eight years of poor governance.

He cited the dredging of the Odona gutter, noting that businessman Ibrahim Mahama once used his equipment and expertise to help dredge the drain for free years ago.

According to Edem, the NPP criticised this effort at the time but later spent over $43 million on a similar project after assuming power.

Edem argued that the party’s conduct changes depending on whether it is in government or in opposition. “You have no shame and are full of hypocrisy to be criticising the presidential jet after eight years of worse governance,” he stated.
