A Level 300 student of St. Michael’s Nursing and Midwifery Training College at Pramso in the Bosomtwi District of the Ashanti Region, Doziah Boateng, is ecstatic after winning big in the Wotiriye lottery game.
She won a GH¢50,000 cash prize as a Bonus Boost winner of the mobile phone-based game operated by the National Lottery Authority.
The management of the Wotiriye lottery game presented Doziah Boateng with her cash prize cheque on Saturday, March 14, 2026, with Customer Service Representative Hafsa Maud Hamidu leading the presentation.
In an interview, Doziah revealed she had played the game several times without luck, but her persistence paid off when she decided to give it one last shot.
“I was starting to lose hope, but I decided to try one last time, and that last try paid off big time,” she exclaimed.
She revealed to Adom News that after playing the game, she had completely forgotten about it, not expecting to be named a winner.
“The announcement of my win came as a total bolt out of the blue. I wasn’t even watching the lottery results, so when my friends started calling to tell me I had won the Wotiriye lottery game, I thought it was a joke,” she said.
She added that, “when I checked their social media handle, I found my number there, and later they called me to officially inform me that I am the winner of the Bonus Boost of GH¢50,000. To be honest, I thought they were scammers.”
Doziah expressed how excited she was when the management of the Wotiriye lottery game finally arrived to present the cash prize to her.
“I’m very excited and want to express my gratitude to the management for being trustworthy.
“I can vouch that this lottery game is legit, contrary to what some people claim. So if you’re participating in the game, you shouldn’t be afraid because if you win, they will definitely pay out your prize.”
She went on to share how the cash prize will be a game-changer for her as a nursing student.
According to her, she plans to allocate part of the funds towards her education and other future aspirations, basically setting herself up for success.
The Customer Service Representative of the Wotiriye lottery game, Hafsa Maud Hamidu, encouraged patrons who have tried several times without winning not to give up, adding that their lucky break will come.

She revealed that Doziah had doubts about receiving her cash prize, which is why the management team surprised her with a personal visit to hand over the cheque and prove the game’s authenticity.
Hafsa Maud Hamidu explained that eight players have won the GH¢10,000 guaranteed prize between January and mid-March this year, but Doziah is the first winner to boost her prize to GH¢50,000 after the last digit of her mobile number matched the Bonus Ball.
