A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Osman Masawudu popularly known as Chairman Buga, has come to the defense of Minister Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak amid the ongoing recruitment controversy.
According to him, Muntaka has done nothing wrong in relation to the recruitment concerns currently under discussion. He urged party members and leaders of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to refrain from attacking the minister over the issue.
Chairman Buga instead pointed to former President John Dramani Mahama, asserting that if anyone should be held responsible, it is him.
“If there is anyone to blame for this issue, it should be Mahama because he appointed the minister. If he felt Muntaka had done something wrong, he would have fired him by now,” he said.
He further added that the absence of any action indicates that Mahama is aware of the situation and sees no wrongdoing on the part of Muntaka.
