The Acting Paramount Chief of the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area and Chief of Sefwi Boinzan, Nana Ofori Ahenkan II, has successfully resolved a longstanding chieftaincy dispute in the community of Sefwi Amoaya.
The disagreement, involving the Abuasuapanin, the Chief, and the Queen of the community, had caused tension and divisions among residents for some time. After a series of mediation efforts led by Nana Ofori Ahenkan II and other traditional leaders, the parties have now reached an amicable settlement.
Addressing the gathering following the resolution, Nana Ofori Ahenkan II urged all factions within the Amoaya community to embrace peace, unity, and mutual respect. He emphasized that reconciliation is essential to restore harmony and promote the development of the area.
He further called on the Abuasuapanin, the Chief, and the Queen to work collaboratively for the progress of the community, stressing that traditional leadership must always prioritize the welfare of the people.
The Acting Paramount Chief also appealed to residents to put past disagreements behind them and support their leaders to ensure lasting peace and stability in Sefwi Amoaya.
