Leading figures of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), including First Lady Lordina Mahama, National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, and General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, attended the one-week observance of the late Andrews Kwame Amankwah, father-in-law of party spokesperson Sammy Gyamfi.
The solemn ceremony brought together party executives, government officials, sympathisers, and members of the public, all gathered to mourn with the family.
Mr. Amankwah was reportedly killed in a robbery attack, an incident that has deeply shocked his family and sections of the political community.
The First Lady led a delegation of government officials to the event, while Mr. Asiedu Nketiah arrived with members of the party’s national executive to pay their respects.
