Member of Parliament for Asutifi North, Ebenezer Kwaku Addo, has commissioned mechanised water systems at four basic schools in the constituency in a bid to tackle the persistent water shortage in schools.
The schools benefiting from the intervention include Gyedu D/A Basic School, Kenyasi No. 1 Presby, Kenyasi No. 2 R/C, and Al-Huda Islamic Kenyasi No. 2 Resettlement.

Speaking at the commissioning at Gyedu D/A Basic School, the MP explained that the lack of potable water was affecting teaching and learning.
He revealed that he reached out to Qatar Charity, which assisted in providing the mechanised water systems.

Ebenezer Kwaku Addo urged school authorities to manage the systems responsibly to encourage further support from NGOs, philanthropists, and other partners for development projects in the constituency.
The Headmistress of Gyedu D/A Basic School, Rita Yaro, and the District Chief Executive, Hafiz Dauda, expressed gratitude to the MP and Qatar Charity, pledging to implement measures to ensure the sustainability of the new water systems.

This initiative marks a significant step toward improving learning conditions and access to safe water for students in Asutifi North.
