The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a significant increase in prize money for this season’s Champions League and Confederation Cup, offering added incentive for clubs vying for continental glory.

Winners of the CAF Champions League will now receive $6 million, up from $4 million, while runners-up are set to take home $2 million.

Quarter-finalists are guaranteed $900,000, with semi-finalists earning $1.2 million each.

In the CAF Confederation Cup, champions will pocket $4 million, and the second-placed team will collect $1 million.

The prize hike comes as both tournaments prepare to enter the quarter-final stage, scheduled for March, as CAF looks to reward success and intensify competition across Africa’s top club competitions.
