Sensational Ghanaian hiplife musician Berima Sydney, officially known as Sidney Kofi Ofori, delivered an emotional tribute to the late singer, Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, popularly known as Ebony Reigns, during the Naughty Saturday event held over the weekend in Sunyani, Bono Region.

Midway through his performance, the Obiaa Nye Obiaa, African Money, and Tinana hits maker paused to reflect on the life and legacy of the late artiste, before thrilling patrons with a soulful rendition of Ebony’s hit song “Hustle.”

The emotional tribute drew loud applause from the audience as he exited the stage.

The moment proved especially moving as Sunday, January 8, 2026, marked exactly eight years since Ebony Reign’s tragic death in a fatal accident, near Mankranso on the Sunyani- Kumasi highway, while returning to Accra after a family visit to Sunyani.

Many patrons described the tribute as a touching way of honouring one of Ghana’s most celebrated young female dancehall and hiplife musicians.

Ebony Reigns, who died eight days before her 21st birthday and a day before a scheduled musical tour in Europe, also had hit songs, including “Poison” and “Kupe.”

In another development, Berima Sydney, who performed free of charge at the third edition of Naughty Saturday in Sunyani, joined the organisers to donate proceeds from the event to the “Compassion Is Love in Action Orphanage” at Yawhima, a suburb of Sunyani.

Speaking at the event, the lead organiser, Samuel Arko Burdett, popularly known as DJ Naughty, expressed his excitement about supporting the orphanage for the third consecutive year.

He appealed to organisations and individuals to endeavour to put smiles on the faces of the children by supporting the orphanage in cash or kind, describing such gestures as service to God.

He extended gratitude to some individuals, including Ransford Antwi, CEO of Suncity Radio and Suncity Imperial Lodge, and Vera Enyonam, CEO of Ericose Limited Company, for their continued support.

DJ Naughty further commended the MCs and DJs who contributed to the success of the event, including MC KMJ of Joy Prime TV, DJ Khalifa, MC Quest, and Opoku Agyeman of 4K Graphix.

The Naughty Saturday night was capped with an electrifying performance by fast-rising Nigerian artiste Exy, who thrilled patrons with songs such as “Control,” “Doo Doo,” and  “Wonder,” the latter in collaboration with DJ Naughty
