Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has heaped praise on Antoine Semenyo after another impressive display in the Premier League.
The Ghanaian forward scored and provided an assist as City cruised to a 3-0 victory over Fulham at the Etihad Stadium, keeping the pressure on league leaders Arsenal ahead of their trip to Brentford.
Semenyo, who joined City from AFC Bournemouth in January, has made an immediate impact, scoring five goals in eight appearances.
Guardiola described the 26-year-old as a top-quality addition to the squad.
“He’s scoring a lot of goals and has a real instinct for second balls in the box. But it’s not just that — his pace, his intensity… he’s a top, top player,” Guardiola said.
“Like I said, the club made incredible signings in Marc (Guehi) and Antoine (Semenyo),” he added.
City will now shift focus to the FA Cup, where Semenyo will look to continue his fine form against lower-tier side Saltford FC this weekend.
