The Black Queens of Ghana are set to clash with Ivory Coast in a friendly match as part of preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

Under coach Kim Lars Bjokegren, the team is fine-tuning its strategies ahead of the tournament, having first participated in the Pink Ladies Cup in the United Arab Emirates from February 28 to March 6, 2026.

Ghana will open the UAE tournament against Hong Kong on February 28 at 16:00 GMT, followed by a match against Russia on March 3 at the same time, a game expected to test the squad against a physically imposing opponent.

The final group-stage fixture is scheduled for March 6 against Tanzania at 21:00 GMT.

After the UAE campaign, the Black Queens will travel to Morocco to face Ivory Coast in a final friendly ahead of WAFCON.

Drawn in Group D for the continental tournament, Ghana will take on Cameroon, Cape Verde, and Mali in the opening stages.
