The EOA Heart for Kids Foundation has been crowned the Best Foundation/NGO of the Year 2025 at the Ghana Impact Makers and Professionals Awards held in Accra recently.
The award was to recognise EOA Heart for Kids Foundation’s portfolio of programmes ranging from childhood education and healthcare initiatives to community empowerment projects that have transformed the lives of many children and families across Ghana.
The Ghana Impact Makers and Professionals Awards is an annual hallmark of excellence, spotlighting organisations and individuals who have made significant contributions to societal development, community service and sustainable impact.
This year’s ceremony was no exception, with a record number of entries demonstrating innovation, dedication and measurable results.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Foundation, Richard Kwasi Offei, who is a member of the Board of Directors, expressed gratitude for the recognition.
“This recognition is a testament to the relentless dedication of our team, partners and supporters.
“It reaffirms our mission to nurture, protect and empower Ghana’s future generation. We are deeply honoured to be acknowledged in this way and it motivates us to do even more,” he said.
Since its establishment, the EOA Heart for Kids Foundation has focused on addressing the most pressing needs of vulnerable children and communities. Its flagship initiatives include free healthcare clinics, scholarship programmes, literacy campaigns and community development projects aimed at creating sustainable change in society.
According to Mr Offei, through the efforts of the organisation, there had been tangible improvements in the lives of many children who had been able to access quality education and gained hope for a brighter future.
Mr Offei emphasised the importance of collective effort.
“While we are grateful for this honour, we know that our work is far from over. Every child deserves a chance to succeed, and it is only through collaboration—government, private sector and civil society that we can truly make a lasting impact,” he stated.
He also said the award had encouraged the foundation to do more to be able to reach more people in different communities across the country.
He said the foundation was currently working on new initiatives aimed at improving nutrition and mental health support for older children and the youth.
As the foundation looks to the future, its leadership remains committed to its mission of creating and nurturing an environment where every child can thrive.
