Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo has predicted a tense encounter when the Citizens face Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final later this month.

City booked their place at Wembley with a commanding 5-2 aggregate victory over Newcastle United, while Arsenal secured their spot after a 4-2 triumph over Chelsea.

The showpiece is scheduled for March 22 at Wembley Stadium, and for Semenyo—who joined City in the winter transfer window from AFC Bournemouth—the occasion marks a major milestone in his career.

The Ghana international admitted the significance of the fixture is beginning to sink in as he prepares for what he expects to be a demanding contest.

“It feels crazy, man. Honestly, I’ve never been in a final before,” Semenyo said while speaking at the Adidas Pred v F50: The Game event.

“I’m just pinching myself, obviously playing against Arsenal. It’s going to be a top final against a top team.

“These are the moments every footballer dreams of. I’m lucky to be living that reality,” he added.

Semenyo recently played a key role in City’s dramatic Premier League victory over Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, a result that reduced the gap at the top of the table to six points.

The 24-year-old has made an immediate impact since his move to Manchester, scoring four goals across all competitions, and will be keen to maintain his scoring form when City host Fulham at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night.
