The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) Mim District in the Ahafo Region has launched a new initiative, dubbed the Nananom Fellowship, aimed at deepening the spiritual lives of chiefs and strengthening their relationship with God.

The initiative was unveiled during a special royal service organised by the church.

Speaking in an interview with Adom News, the District Minister, Rev. Ernste Atta Yeboah, explained that the church observed that some members who have been enstooled as chiefs often find it difficult to fellowship regularly due to their traditional responsibilities.

As a result, the church deemed it necessary to create a dedicated fellowship to support their spiritual growth.

According to Rev. Yeboah, the Nananom Fellowship will help chiefs maintain and even deepen the closeness with God they enjoyed before ascending their stools. He disclosed that about 16 members of the PCG Mim District are currently serving as chiefs, adding that the initiative is the first of its kind in the district.

Chairman of the fellowship and Apedwahene of Sunyani, Nana Kwadwo Yeboah, also commended the church for the initiative, stressing that being a chief should not distance anyone from God or the church.

He noted that chiefs must continually draw closer to their Maker and described the Nananom Fellowship as a timely intervention to support their spiritual journey.
