Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo has made it clear that his side is targeting all three points when they face Liverpool at Anfield later today.

Pep Guardiola’s men travel to Merseyside for a fixture widely regarded as a defining moment in City’s Premier League title push.

And Semenyo, who already has fond memories of the iconic stadium this season, is eager to rise to the occasion once again.

The Ghana international scored twice at Anfield on the opening day of the campaign while playing for Bournemouth, and he believes the clash presents another opportunity to make a strong statement.

“It’s a statement game,” Semenyo said.

“It’s probably one of our most important games of the season. So we want to go there, pose our threats and be victorious at the end of the day.

“As an outsider watching, it’s always been sick to watch, but being part of it, it’s a different level. Just that fire in your belly, these games bring it out,” Semenyo added.

Kick-off at Anfield is scheduled for 16:30 GMT.

Since completing his January move to Manchester City, Semenyo has made an immediate impact, scoring four goals in five appearances for the champions.
