The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Nkwanta South, Joseph Antwi Awal, has appealed to residents who abandoned their homes and businesses in Tuobodom to return, assuring them that security measures have been strengthened to guarantee their safety.

He made the call during activities marking the National Sanitation Day in Tuobodom, a suburb of Nkwanta township. The clean-up exercise brought together personnel from the military, police, Ghana National Fire Service, and community members to tidy the area and improve environmental hygiene.

The MCE noted that a protracted conflict over the past three years had forced many residents to vacate their properties. He expressed confidence that the enhanced security arrangements would restore calm and encourage displaced residents to resettle.

Mr. Awal also commended journalists and security personnel for their continued efforts in promoting peace in the municipality.

Meanwhile, community members, including Mallam Adams, lauded the assembly for its monthly observation of the National Sanitation Exercise and encouraged residents to actively participate.

They stressed that maintaining clean surroundings is critical to preventing cholera and other communicable diseases.
