Medeama SC coach Ibrahim Tanko has set his sights on maintaining the club’s lead atop the Ghana Premier League standings, urging his players to step up if they are to secure the league title.
The Yellow and Mauve currently lead the table with 43 points from 21 matches in the 2025/26 season, holding a seven-point cushion over Bibiani GoldStars, Aduana FC, and Hearts of Oak.
“Our target is to stay on top of the league,” Tanko told Sporty FM, emphasising that continued effort is crucial.
“We have 13 matches to end the season, but we have to do more to win the league, and I am sure that the players are ready,” he added.
Medeama will turn their focus to an FA Cup tie against FC Samartex at the TNA Park later today, before returning to Premier League action against Aduana FC in next weekend’s Matchday 22 fixture.
