The Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) has successfully conducted a one-week monitoring and supervision exercise across selected districts in the Volta, Bono, and Bono East Regions to ensure effective implementation of the programme and compliance with approved operational standards.
The exercise, carried out from January 26 to 30, 2026, focused on inspecting kitchen equipment used by caterers, assessing eating utensils, and verifying hygiene and sanitation practices at feeding centres.

The team also reviewed data on daily feeding activities, including beneficiary numbers and meal consistency, to ensure accurate reporting and accountability.
Additionally, the exercise evaluated cooperation and coordination between caterers and school authorities, including timely meal preparation to avoid disrupting instructional hours.
The GSFP monitoring team commended many caterers and schools for maintaining acceptable hygiene standards and providing nutritious meals to pupils. Caterers were also given guidance to address any identified gaps.
