Police have arrested a man for allegedly impersonating a delegate during the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primary in the Juaboso Constituency.

The suspect, identified as Philemon, was apprehended after attempting to cast a vote on behalf of another delegate.

According to eyewitnesses, electoral officials raised questions about his identity during the voting process, prompting police intervention.

The arrest occurred amid heightened security at the polling station, where delegates from the constituency were casting their votes in the presidential primary.

Party officials are collaborating with the police to investigate the matter to ensure that all votes are valid and properly accounted for.

Meanwhile, Dr Bawumia’s team have declined to sign the pink sheet in the area over allegations of fraudulent activities including the impersonation.
