The Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has praised party members and residents of the Jomoro Constituency for their unity, which he said contributed significantly to the party’s electoral successes in the area.
Speaking in the Jomoro Constituency, Mr Asiedu Nketia recalled that the party experienced internal divisions following the exit of former Member of Parliament, Leo Okran, which negatively affected its electoral fortunes.
He explained that the selection of Dorcas Toffey as the party’s parliamentary candidate helped heal the divisions, as she did not belong to any faction within the constituency.
According to him, the party resolved to unite behind her candidacy, a decision that led to her victory at the polls.
Mr Asiedu Nketia added that the party maintained its unity and focus during the 2024 elections, resulting in another electoral victory in the constituency.
He expressed gratitude to the people of Jomoro for their continued support and commitment to the NDC.
