The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has scheduled its National Delegates Conference for December 19, 2026, during which the party’s new national executives will be elected.
The announcement was made by the General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, while addressing the media on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
Mr. Kwetey explained that the internal electoral process will follow the party’s traditional bottom-up structure, beginning at the branch level, progressing through constituencies and regions, and culminating at the national level.
He further outlined the key dates for the process, noting that nomination forms will be available from Saturday, November 7, to Monday, November 9, 2026, with aspirants slated for vetting on Thursday, November 12, and Friday, November 13, 2026.
“Appeals will be handled on Sunday, November 15, and Monday, November 16, 2026. The youth and women’s conference is planned for Saturday, December 12, 2026, while the National Delegates Conference will take place on Saturday, December 19, 2026,” he added.
Mr. Kwetey emphasized that the timetable is part of the party’s broader strategy to reorganize and strengthen its internal structures in preparation for the 2028 general elections.
“This process is designed to position the party strongly for the future. It completes a very important framework that will prepare us for the next round of political competition in the country and ensure that we continue the good work we are doing,” he stated.
