Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed his disappointment over the exit of Kamaradini Mamudu, highlighting the challenge of losing the Ghana international.

Mamudu recently completed a transfer to Sudanese side Al Hilal during the winter window, signing a long-term deal with the side.

“Kamaradini is a really fantastic guy, not only on the pitch and outside the pitch, but he’s also very disciplined,” Tanko said.

“It’s very painful that we are going to miss him, but I think life must go on. He also has to look for somewhere else and to try to continue his career.

“I wish him very well. I hope that he will go there and then, as he did here. Definitely, we are going to miss him, but I think we still have three right backs, and that can also step on his feet.

Mamudu leaves Medeama SC while the club leads the Ghana Premier League, eight points ahead in their bid for a second league title.

He now joins Al Hilal, who top the Rwandan Premier League with 35 points despite the ongoing conflict in Sudan.
