Prophet Bernard El-Bernard Nelson, General Overseer of Spiritlife Revival Ministries, has reaffirmed his earlier prediction that former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, will emerge as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer in the primaries scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, the cleric expressed confidence in the outcome, insisting that the results will clearly favour Mr. Agyapong by the close of voting.
He further predicted that by 5pm on election day, Kennedy Agyapong’s camp would already be confident of victory, describing the outcome as spiritually settled.
“There is nothing that can let me say I did not see it. I have seen it several times. I talk in definite terms because of what God has revealed to me. I know what I have seen,” Prophet El-Bernard stated.
The NPP’s January 31 presidential primary is expected to be fiercely contested. The five aspirants—former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Abetifi MP Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Bosomtwe MP Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Kennedy Agyapong—remain optimistic about their chances.
A total of 211,849 delegates are expected to vote at 333 polling centres across 276 constituencies nationwide, with polls opening at 7:00am and closing at 2:00pm.
Kennedy Agyapong, known for his outspoken style and strong grassroots support, remains one of the most talked-about candidates. Supporters believe his boldness and national visibility give him an edge, while critics argue that party leadership requires a more conciliatory approach.
Meanwhile, the final predictive model released by Global Info Analytics on Friday, January 23, 2026, indicated that Dr. Bawumia remains the frontrunner, with the enduring “Bawumia Factor” outweighing Kennedy Agyapong’s strong grassroots momentum.
