A fire outbreak is currently ongoing at the Madina Market in Accra, prompting an emergency response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
Firefighters from the Madina and Legon Fire Stations were swiftly deployed after the blaze broke out earlier today at the busy commercial hub.
Crews are actively working to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to adjoining shops and structures within the market.
Thick smoke has engulfed parts of the area, forcing traders and shoppers to flee as firefighters battle the flames.
The extent of damage is yet to be determined, and no casualties have been officially confirmed at this stage.
Authorities say efforts are ongoing to bring the situation under full control, while security personnel have cordoned off sections of the market to enable emergency operations.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
