The taxi driver who foiled a mobile money robbery at Darkuman, Joseph Kwadwo Koranteng, has received financial support from the management of Executive Senator School to repair his damaged vehicle.
As earlier reported by Adom News, Mr. Koranteng knocked down two armed robbery suspects on a motorbike after they attacked a MoMo vendor and made away with GH¢7,700.
In recognition of his bravery, the school presented Mr. Koranteng with an undisclosed sum to help fix his taxi, which was damaged during the incident.
The robbery unfolded when the suspects attacked the mobile money vendor and attempted to flee. In a courageous response, Mr. Koranteng rammed his taxi into the robbers, leading to the arrest of one of them.

Mr. Koranteng revealed that he had previously suffered at the hands of armed robbers, losing GH¢60,000 meant for purchasing land several years ago, which motivated him to act decisively.
After receiving the support, he expressed gratitude to the school’s management and called on the public to assist the police in combating crime in their communities.
Meanwhile, the Headmaster and a school prefect explained that Mr. Koranteng’s courageous act deserved commendation.
They urged the public to draw inspiration from his example and emphasised the importance of recognising individuals who demonstrate bravery and civic responsibility.
