The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi North in the Ahafo Region, Dr. Ebenezer Kwaku Addo, has donated life-saving medical equipment worth GH¢62,000 to the Asutifi North District Hospital in Kenyasi to strengthen healthcare delivery.

The donated items included oxygen cylinders, nebulisers, oxygen concentrators, a scanning machine, and a round table.

Speaking to Adom News during a brief presentation ceremony, Dr. Addo explained that the hospital, which serves the entire district, lacks sufficient oxygen support equipment—a situation that compelled him to intervene to help save lives.

“Although the hospital has adequate human resources, it is constrained by the lack of essential medical equipment needed to deliver quality healthcare. As a Member of Parliament with a health background, I am committed to supporting this facility to make it one of the best hospitals in the region,” he said.

Receiving the items on behalf of the District Health Directorate and the hospital, District Public Health Nurse Juliana Amankwah Mensah expressed gratitude to the MP for the timely donation.

She noted that the hospital often struggles to provide adequate care for patients requiring oxygen due to the shortage of life-saving equipment.

Ms. Mensah also appealed to individuals, corporate bodies, and other stakeholders to support the hospital in its mission to improve healthcare services across the district.
