The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has assured Ghanaians that President John Dramani Mahama will fulfil all promises made during the 2024 election campaign before the end of his tenure.
He gave the assurance during the party’s Thank You Tour at Kenyasi in the Ahafo Region, warning that failure by the Mahama-led government to deliver on its campaign promises could jeopardize the party’s chances in the 2028 general elections.
According to Asiedu Nketia, several key promises made by the NDC have already been fulfilled, reflecting the government’s commitment to improving the lives of Ghanaians.
He stressed that it would be extremely difficult to persuade voters to renew the party’s mandate in 2028 if these commitments are not honoured.
Meanwhile, the Ahafo Regional Minister, Charity Gardiner, called on the party to do more to improve the welfare of branch executives, highlighting their critical role in securing victory in the last elections.
She urged party members to remain patient and assured them that those who worked tirelessly for the party’s success would be rewarded before President Mahama’s tenure ends.
