The CEO of Kadosh Adonai Enterprise, Doris Adjei, has donated five electric suction apparatuses to the Korle-Bu Surgical Ward to support their work.

Mrs. Adjei explained that her gesture was inspired by the care she received from the doctors and nurses during her admission at the ward.

She underwent a spinal cord operation and said the medical staff treated her, and all patients, with exceptional care, prompting her to show appreciation.

“I initially intended to donate cash, but the Head of the Surgical Ward, Patrick Bankah, advised me to purchase electric suction machines, which would be more beneficial to them,” she said.

Mrs. Adjei also shared that she initially resorted to self-medication for her condition, which nearly left her paralyzed, until she sought treatment at Korle-Bu, where she was properly diagnosed with a spinal problem. She urged the public to avoid self-medication and to consult medical experts before taking any drugs.

Receiving the items, Head of the Surgical Ward Patrick Bankah, along with his team, expressed their gratitude, describing Mrs. Adjei’s gesture as overwhelming. He appealed to the public to continue supporting the facility.

Mr. Bankah noted that the donation would significantly help the ward in delivering quality healthcare to Ghanaians. He added that the team remains committed to professionalism and is working to attract more foreign patients to the facility.

“We hope that in the near future, no Ghanaian will need to travel abroad for healthcare; they will all come to Korle-Bu for any type of treatment,” he stated.
