Nigeria coach Eric Chelle has warned of a stern test ahead as his Super Eagles prepare to face hosts Morocco in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semifinals.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Chelle emphasized the need to treat each game as a unique challenge.
“Each match that passes is a bigger test than the one before,” he said, adding that his team will approach tomorrow’s game as if it’s their last. “Tomorrow won’t be easy at all.”
Midfielder Alex Iwobi also acknowledged Morocco’s strength during a live session on social media. “Morocco are a strong team, very scary,” Iwobi said. “Now we face them directly. It will be a frightening match.”
The Super Eagles secured their semifinal spot with a 2–0 victory over Algeria in Marrakech, while Morocco advanced after a 2–0 win against Cameroon.
Kick-off for the highly anticipated clash is set for 20:00 GMT at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
