Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has expressed his frustration following his team’s lacklustre performance in their 0-0 draw against Berekum Chelsea.

The Porcupine Warriors hosted the relegation-threatened side at Baba Yara Stadium in the Matchday 18 fixture but failed to find the back of the net, leaving Kotoko in fourth place on the league table with 31 points.

“I’m disappointed in my boys. All week, I wish you could have observed our training sessions,” Zito said after the game.

“We focused a lot on finishing, but unfortunately, the players were not focused. With all seriousness and honesty, I cannot accept this result, but it won’t stop me from fighting for the league title.”

The former Black Satellites coach emphasized the need to bounce back, noting that 16 matches remain in the season.

“We have 16 matches left, and we must go back to work and ensure we win our away games to make amends,” he added.

Kotoko will aim to regain momentum when they travel to face defending champions Bibiani GoldStars in their Matchday 19 clash.
