Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang on Saturday attended Day Three of the 2026 PENSA Ghana Conference at Gomoa Fetteh, urging young leaders to model their lives after examples of distinguished leadership and channel their ambitions toward Ghana’s collective progress.

Addressing hundreds of students and youth leaders from tertiary institutions across the country, the Vice President described leadership as a call to service rather than self-interest.

She encouraged the youth to cultivate integrity, discipline, and a strong sense of national duty as they prepare to assume roles in public life, industry, and civil society.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang emphasised that ambition, when guided by values and a commitment to the common good, can be a powerful tool for national development. She urged young people not to shy away from excellence, but to ensure that their personal aspirations align with the broader needs of society.

“The future of Ghana rests heavily on the kind of leaders you choose to become,” she noted, adding that transformational leadership requires consistency, humility, and a willingness to learn from those who have made meaningful contributions to national life.

The Vice President commended PENSA Ghana for its continued investment in youth mentorship, leadership formation, and moral grounding, describing the organisation as a vital platform for shaping responsible and socially conscious leaders.

The 2026 PENSA Ghana Conference, held under the theme “Leadership and Positive Ambition,” brings together Christian youth from across the country for days of worship, dialogue, skills training, and reflection on national development issues.
