A Lexus 570 vehicle was gutted by fire in the early hours of Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Fijai Cultural Centre along the Boulevard stretch, opposite the Fijai Senior High School park.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), through the Sekondi Metro Fire Station, responded swiftly after receiving a distress call at 3:25am.
An eight-member crew led by ADO II Enoch Nana Baah arrived at the scene within two minutes, at 3:27am.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 3:28am and fully extinguished it at 3:30am, preventing the fire from spreading to nearby property.
No casualties were recorded.
The affected vehicle, a Lexus 570 with registration number GN-8090-17, sustained extensive damage.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined and remains under investigation by the GNFS.
