Fire has engulfed several containers at the Techiman Market, prompting a swift response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
The Techiman Fire Station received a distress call reporting the outbreak, and a duty crew led by AstnO Oppong Kyekyeku was immediately dispatched to the scene.

On arrival, firefighters found a number of containers already on fire within the busy market area.
The crew quickly moved to control the situation, spraying nearby containers and buildings with water to prevent the fire from spreading to other sections of the market.

Their timely intervention brought the blaze under control and eventually extinguished it.
Some goods in adjoining stores were salvaged by GNFS personnel.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is yet to be established.
