The Damongo Municipal Fire Command of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has successfully relocated a swarm of bees from the newly built Laribanga Police Station in the West Gonja Municipality.
The operation, led by ADO II Issahaku Jalaldeen, was carried out following reports of a large swarm of bees occupying parts of the police station, posing a potential risk to officers and members of the public.
Firefighters employed professional and environmentally friendly techniques to carefully remove and relocate the bees without causing harm.

The GNFS said no firefighter sustained injuries during the operation, and the bees were preserved, helping to maintain ecological balance.
The successful relocation restored normal activities at the police station and prevented any possible bee attacks or disruptions.
The GNFS has reiterated its commitment to responding to all forms of emergencies, including wildlife-related incidents, and encouraged the public to promptly report similar situations for swift and safe intervention.
