Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, has confirmed that Black Stars coach Otto Addo is set to announce his squad in the coming days ahead of this month’s international friendlies against Japan and South Korea.
Ghana will face Japan on 14 November before travelling to take on South Korea four days later, as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“Tentatively, we are looking at the end of this week or the weekend to confirm the squad and the full complement of the team,” Twum said.
He added, “The plan is for the advanced team to depart Accra on Friday for Japan, followed by the rest of the technical team. I don’t yet know if there will be local players. Depending on their number, they will hopefully travel on Sunday to Japan. We will then receive the players after their respective matches on Tuesday.”
The Black Stars’ Asia tour comes as anticipation builds for the 2026 World Cup draw, scheduled for 5 December in Washington, where Ghana will learn its group-stage opponents.
